4/21/2012 - 6 years ago today (4/21/2006), it was marked as another boiler breakdown day.  Before Ball and Fatty replaced the tankless boiler in 9/2006, we always had problems with the older unit.  It would stop working every once in a while.  On that day, it shook like there's no tomorrow, then it spilled out some black ash. 

So Ball and Fatty coordinated all 8 of us to hide in the kitchen,

and then Fatty cleaned the entired house by hand.  Both Gi and I (under the chair) were monitoring whether Fatty was doing a decent job because those black ash could post hazardous health consequences to all of us.

Fast forward to today, I am the only one left and the 5+ year old tankless boiler is running well.  Ball and Fatty have been quite thoughtful and arranged a pre-birthday (2 more days) party for me today because it's going to rain heavily on my 17th birthday according to the forecast.  They bought 9 different kinds of new foods for this special party, plus the Royan Canin dry food (Mature) that Lik ate in her last days.

It was hard for me to choose which one is better, so Ball and Fatty put them in separate plates like a tasting contest. 

I started with dry foods first because I always love dry foods over wet foods. 

The Temptation Hairball chicken flavor is really something because I could not stop eating that.

The Royal Canin dry food (Mature) was not bad but the others were not my cup of tea.

After food tasting, Ball and Fatty carried me out to the deck from the kitchen.  I am not an out-going cat, so I just walked on the deck for a couple of minutes,

before heading back into the house, and both Ball and Fatty were laughing at me.

I am a homey cat, so I'd rather stay inside the house. 

Though I did yell at both Ball and Fatty out loud because they kept describing me as a chicken. 

I then showed them a strong face because there's nothing wrong being a homey cat.

Though I really appreciate what they did for me today, or everything they have done for me in the last 16+ years, other cats in this house or BB (Fatty's own cat) in the last 20+ years.
