4/9/2012 - Ball and Fatty bought a new pet gate from Chistmas Tree Shop for like $20 yesterday and they tested it for the bedroom door last night. Unlike the previous one they tested a few days ago, I did not even attempt to pull it this time because all I wanted to do was to tell them about a fight between some animals in the backyard. As stupid as they are, they finally found out the dead animal (a skunk) in the backyard today after the disgusting scent filled up our house, so they wrapped the body in a paper bag and "buried" it in the forest.

I feel sorry for the skunk (minus its smell) because it was beaten to death, based on how a bunch of its hair left behind. It would be interesting to find out why would a skunk get killed because whether it's the opossums, rabbits, groundhogs, stray cats, skunks, or raccoons, they all have their own territory but they always showed their courtesy of not fighting each other ever since I started living here 12 years ago. As recent as a few weeks ago, I have witnessed a raccoon waiting in line for a cat to finish her meal before dipping his head into the foods left out by Ball and Fatty.
If my siblings or my masters (Robert, Chung, and Gi) are here, I bet they would have started doing some detective work. Like this picture taken 8 years ago today (4/9/2004), Gi took the lead (closest to the camera), with MaGi nearby, Mui (on my left), me (in the middle), and Lung (on my right) were all standing by to check out the outside when the door leading to the deck is opened.
I still remember if there was any detective work to do, we would join forces together. After a day's (hmm...more like a few minutes most of the time) hard work, we usually went to sleep together afterward. Hart and Lung, the 2 biggest cats amongst us, loved to sleep together back then. In the following 2 pictures, taken 8 years ago today (4/9/2004), Robert was joining them to sleep after checking out the deck door.
MaGi was not sleeping, but Bart was already deep in ZZZZ...
But like what I have talked about in some previous posts, we sometimes have our own civil wars here, divided by hair colors. This picture was taken only a few hours after the above pictures in 2004 and the 3 black cats in my family were laying on one corner of the living room preventing the orange cats to pass by.
